Task 8- Picture From My Photography

These are some of the picture that I have taken today at Gladesmore Community School in North London. They feel very music linked, as we have talented up and coming musicians in the studio and on the piano.

Task 8- Contact Sheet

These are just a variety of what photos I have taken. I am looking to use these pictures in my contents page as well as my DPS. However, I still need to get my front page image in my location pictured, so I will start working on my contents page (which links to my house style and flat plan) and continue with my DPS plan, as I wait to complete my front page image.

Task 8- Photography Notes

Photography Notes

We will use a white backdrop (On the floor, from the roll)

-         If they stand at the back of the backdrop, they might blend into the background.

-         Never have normal lights on

-         All lights are flash (Studio lights)

-         We will use a Trinity Flash head

For the flash-

-         There is an on and off switch

-         Press test (Test the Flash)

-         Music note/sound will beep, when the flash has recharged

-         Minus button (-) starts at 1, for a small soft flash

-         Plus button (+) ends at 6, for a hard flash

3 Point Lighting-

-         Key/main light is the first light that will be positioned on your model

-         Fill light (With the grid)

*Square bits on the flash, is called a soft box*

-         Hair light (With a snoot).

*A snoot is a light mechanism*

(Separates your model from the backdrop)

3 Point Lighting is noted in ratio, depending on number of flash brightness, (e.g. 4:3:2)

Godox-

-         Makes sure it’s switched on and off when not in use.

-        You slot this into your flash.

-        The receiver is then connected to the Godox, which you test with the camera.

Camera used-

-        Nikon D7000 which has a 17 Million MP

-        Strap of the camera has to be over the head

-        Lens is 18-105 zoom lens.

-        3.5 LCD

-        Play icon allows you to view your previous taken photo

-        Once you hear a beep from the camera, this means that your picture is focused.

Focuses-

-        Manuel focus- No beep, which means you can control the lens.

-        Auto focus- There is a beep, which means the focus is controlled automatically.

Settings-

-        Key words- Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority

-        Depth of ground = Aperture Priority

-        Movement capture = Shutter Priority (Faster the shutter, quicker and better the image)

To change colour effect, Click Menu            Camera icon           Set Picture Control.

-        Standard = Colour

-        Mono chrome = Black & White

*Do not change colour on Photoshop, as it won’t have the same effect*

Reflectors- Reflect/Bounce light. They come in Silver/Gold/White
